The Future Hospitality Summit (FHS) will be held on 24th and 25th May 2022 in Riyadh Airport Marriott Hotel, Saudi Arabia. It is a powerful and diverse program featuring the top leaders and influencers from the hospitality sector.
Future Hospitality Summit or the FHS is one of the most important events for the region’s travel, tourism, and hospitality sector. On 24th and 25th May, the needs and concerns of the rapidly-growing hospitality sector across various business areas in the Kingdom will be discussed during the event. The second edition of the FHS will be organized under the theme of Reimagined Horizons.
This edition of the FHS program is designed by the Bench and MEED in collaboration with SEMARK, a local organizer. It will cover key themes such as the future of hotel development, restaurant investment, sustainability, aviation, and human capital. The FHS Saudi Arabia, hosted by Dur Hospitality, will have a Moroccan-themed opening reception. It will reflect the unique hospitality solutions offered by the group.
“It’s a great pleasure to host such a grand event debuting the new era of hospitality and redefining the future of this vibrant industry while creating numerous opportunities to drive collaboration and joint leadership action from across the global hospitality sector”, Dur CEO Mr. Sultan bin Badr Al Otaibi stated ahead of the event.
Topic of Discussion
The FHS will take up a wide range of topics for discussion. These include the future of hotel asset management, loyalty scheme prospects, transparency and brand loyalty, and the development of hospitality spaces. Some of the topics scheduled for discussion are Saudi Arabia’s F&B investments, dining trends, leveraging newer technologies in the restaurant business, new brands, and concepts, and food sustainability and security.
This FHS edition will also focus on topics of critical importance for the country, such as its economic outlook, future of destination development programs, and investment climate. There will be presentations from Pat Thaker, Director of the Middle East and Africa at the Economist Intelligence Unit, and Robin Rossmann from STR.
Reflecting on the investment scenario in Saudi Arabia ahead of the Future Hospitality Summit, Philip Wooller, Area Director of Middle East & Africa at STR, said:
“There is a palpable excitement about Saudi Arabia—not just locally, but globally. The future of Saudi Arabia is never far from the curiosity of most, and the curiosity is well-founded. Despite the challenges of the last two years, the acceleration of Saudi Arabia as both a leisure and business destination has been remarkable, and the ambitious plans laid out in Vision 2030 are on track”.
Distinguished attendees
President Middle East, Africa, and South Asia for HVS, Hala Matar Choufany, will be heading the debate about the future of hospitality investment in Saudi Arabia. The FHS will also feature leading hotel groups operating in the Kingdom. The CEOs from Dur Hospitality, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Hilton, and Accor will contribute to the discussions. The organizers have brought together many of the region’s key hospitality investment conferences on the same platform this year. These include Saudi Arabia Hospitality Investment Conference (SHIC) and Arabian Hospitality Investment Conference (AHIC). The FHS delegates will access C-level networking, hospitality investment sessions, and insights synonymous with such conferences.
